Manage eBooks with the "books.ch Reader App" for Apple Devices

Follow the steps below:

1. Download the App

Search for "books.ch Reader" in the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and download our free app.

2. Authorise your App

To open your eBooks which are DRM-copy-protected, you must authorize your Reader App. The first time you open your app, you will be asked to follow the steps to authorize it: in "Menu" click on "Info" and enter your Adobe ID (user name of your Adobe account) and its password. If you do not have an Adobe ID, you can get one from Adobe.

If you do not have an account with Adobe, open a new one. You will be given an Adobe-ID that you will need to authorize your Reader App.

3. Buy eBooks

Open the Safari Browser and go to www.books.ch. Browse through our huge selection of eBooks by using the search function or by clicking "eBooks" in the navigation bar and put the desired eBook into your basket. Buy the eBook only once. Now you can download it to your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch (to total of five devices).

Find the eBooks you want in our eBook shop on books.ch.

4. Download eBooks

Because the eBooks that you purchase are stored in your "customer account" on books.ch, by clicking on "download", the book you have selected is downloaded into your app and is immediately available for you to read in your "library".

4. Reading
You can read your eBooks in a vertical or horizontal format and you can personalize your reading preferences for font size and colour, background colour, degree of brightness and how you would like to have your pages turned.

The above reading functions can be set in the “Menu” tab of the book that is open. The “Menu” tab will appear or disappear by quickly tapping on the screen.
